SUP YOGA on Thetis Lake!

​

Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga (SUP Yoga) has quickly become a sought after summer activity.

Immerse yourself in nature, connecting mind, body & soul through fluid movements, with the water beneath and the sky above. This hybrid water activity is a great way to awaken your core by adding more levels of balance and movement. Enjoy the organic surroundings provided by Mother Nature as you draw closer to yourself. A beautiful way to harmonize body and spirit.

Our fun 120-minute classes begin with a short lesson on paddle basics, venturing to a quiet spot on Thetis Lake, followed by 45-minutes of yoga and ending with an open paddle before returning to shore.

There are 3 different class options making SUP Yoga accessible to everyone! Even if you don’t have SUP or yoga experience.

Class Options:

 

Starter Sunday @ 9am: An introduction to SUP Yoga. Cultivating a relationship between you and the board, we will explore different avenues of Sattva Yoga. Incorporating elements of Pranayama (breath), Asana (Posture), Kriya (Active energy expansion) and Meditation to offer you an integrated practice. Give yourself the gift of connection. Try something new and return to yourself. The time is now.

Mellow Monday @ 6pm: A calming class filled with meditative breathwork and Himalayan Kriya technology. Some light movement to loosen the body as we will be sitting down and staying low to the board. Shift your consciousness, awaken to your true nature.

​

Fluid Friday @ 6pm: This Vinyasa based class is intended for those who have yoga experience and a desire to challenge core strength. Starting with Pranayama, tuning into self, we will harness the power of our breath as the necessary link into movement. We will flow like water, activating muscles you forgot you had. You are far greater than you realize. 

We can supply you with all the equipment you need, or bring your own gear.

 

Bring a friend (or two) to share in this wonderful opportunity, combining yoga and the elements!

 

Classes are $20 if bringing your own equipment, or $50 if you need to rent a paddleboard.

 

When:

Mellow Monday - 6pm

Fluid Friday - 6pm

Starter Sunday - 9am

 

Where:

West Beach / Dog Beach - Thetis Lake (Not the Main Beach)

 

Parking:

West Beach parking lot is often full and challenging to find a spot. Please give yourself ample time and prepare to park at the main lot and walk in (about 10-15mins).

 

What to Bring:

 

* Water

* Towel

* Swim / Athletic clothing

* Change of Clothes

* Dry Bag & Board Leash (if you have one)

 

Please arrive changed and ready to go. Public washroom facilities are located at the Main Beach - Thetis Lake. If class does not reach the minimum number of guests, we may cancel. You will not be charged until a minimum of 3 people have signed up or we decide to run the class. Be prepared to forfeit your experience with no refund if you do not arrive on time.
